Topic: DEALING WITH WEAKNESS….Part 5
Text: 2nd Corinthians 12:9KJV
9 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
In part four we discussed two sources of weakness in man and that is the devil and the world. Today we want to focus on another source of weakness which the foundation.
The foundation of every life is important and the content of that foundation is so much important that the scripture is asking in Psalms 11:3 saying
if the foundations be destroyed, what can the rightous do?.
So when we talk about foundation, we are talking about the origin of a man and this is another major source through which weakness are found in many lives. Many people struggle with certain weakness in life which were found in their parents, no wonder the scripture says in John 3:6
that which is born of the flesh is of the flesh and that which is born of the spirit is of the spirit.
Some weakness can even extend from one generations to many generations after, this is referred to as curse and so anyone born into such lineage exhibit such weakness as a result of faulty foundation. That’s why a father who is living a wrong life is very much likely to raise a child like himself except God delivers that child from such lifestyle.
So it is important to deal with every weakness in your life irrespective of how they crept into your life, so that there will not be any outpouring of such spirit upon your generation, deal with that weakness, cry to God to deliver you and give you victory over it, just like he said to Paul there is grace to live victoriously above that weakness. * Father, deliver me from every every weak and faulty foundations in Jesus Name.
