PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
16th February
Topic: GRACE FOR SERVICE….Part 11
Text: 2nd Corinthians 12:9 KJV

9 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

In part ten we discussed how to receive grace through praise. Today we want to talk further about how to receive grace from God.

* Faithfulness: We did said grace is in measures and differs from one person to another. One major factor that account for this is faithfulness, when a vessel is faithful in one thing (assignment), God releases grace for more things (assignments). Luke 16:10 say something about this

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much,

God will not release greater grace if a man is not faithful in that little assignment, if you see a man who function excellently with grace in many offices (teaching ministry, prayer ministry, singing ministry, mission ministry e.t.c), if you take a deep look he must have been faithful in one before God released grace for another. You must understand that God’s grace is not meant to be unused, the grace is released to be used for specific purpose and assignment, therefore a man who cannot be faithful in what God has deposited in him cannot be burdened with greater assignment. So if you need grace be faithful to God.

* Training and Development: Grace absolutely does not come by training and development, but God can release grace upon a man’s skill and talents in other words personal training and self development can enhance God’s grace upon a man. There is need for professionalism and expertise in what one does with time, I mean a man is expected to grow and do much more better per time in ministry, if you are a teacher, you are expected to teach with more fluency, coordination, accuracy as time goes on and this comes from your experience in the ministry and from learning from others. Acts 7:22 says

Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

The above passage is saying Moses by divine arrangement was trained in all the ways and culture of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and deeds which was what later helped him to fulfil God’s divine purpose to deliver Israel from the land of Egypt. So personal training and development is very important and it can enhance God’s grace upon your life.

PRAYER:
* Father, help me to be faithful as a steward in Jesus Name.
