Topic: THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS.
Text: Proverbs 13:4.
4: The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
Work is frustrating when there is no fruit of labour, enjoyable when it is rewarding, even when it is time taking it is enjoyable if there is reward. Getting up early to work is suppose to be rewarding, but not all labour has good reward.
It is important you know that except the Lord bless your work you will labour in vain. Psalms 127:1,2. I am glad to announce to you that God is interested in your labour, many people think God does not have their time; that’s not true, God is interested in your affairs just as you take interest in the affairs of your children.
God wants to bless the works of your hands, however, there are conditions for his blessings, the conditions are like saying to your child, ‘ if you can do well in your exams I will surprise you ‘. God’s conditions are simple;
1, Diligence: God has commanded the ground on which we work to bring forth fruit unto everyone according to his or her labour. The ground is programmed by God to recognise and differentiate a lazy man from a diligent man. Our text says, ‘ …the soul of the diligent shall be made fat ‘, that means prosperity is certain for the diligent, a lazy man should not expect anything from the Lord.
2, Working righteously: Isaiah 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Labouring in righteousness attracts God’s blessings. If you’re diligent in your business, but carry out your business in an ungodly manner it won’t still attract God’s blessings. Diligence and Righteousness must be in place if the works of your hands must be blessed. God bless you.
