Topic: THE PASSING OF THE DAYS.
Text: Psalms 90:12.
12: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Life is measured in time, the duration of life is measured by time. Things happen with time, blessings flow with time, time then pays a major role in the life of everyone. Time waits for no one, time passes, every new day is the expiration of yesterday, it is the end of 24 hours. Every new week is the end of seven days of your life, and every new month is the passing of a month of your life.
As each day passes your life is counting, and it passes gradually, no one will be here forever, the conciousness of the passing of time is my focus here. As you are growing old day after day your life time is counting and your life is passing.
Life on Earth passes as the days pass, but there is life after this Earth where time is irrelevant, when there is no need for watch or calendar it is called eternity. There is no past tense in eternity, but present continous tense; let me show you from the bible Luke 16: 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Take note of the phrase ‘ being in torments ‘, it is a present continous tense. There is no timing to what happens in eternity, this passage is the account from hell.
Look at the account of an event in heaven: 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. ‘ …and so shall we ever be with the Lord ‘, the word ever means time is not needed.
Those who will go to hell will be there forever and those will be with God in heaven will be there forever. Prepare for eternity, hell is real and heaven is real. Give your life to Christ today and abstain from sin. God bless you.

* Help me Lord not to end up in hell, help me to rain with you forever in Jesus name.
