PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
10th January
Topic: THE NUMBERING OF DAYS…part 5.
Text: Psalms 90:12.

12: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

As I wait upon the Lord for what to write I get deep insight into his word, and by the Spirit of the Lord I will be exposing mystery here.

There is what is called THE DEALINGS OF TIME, Ecclesiastes 9:11 can help me explain this here; I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Ecclesiastes 3 talks about the various dealings of time, and they can be categorized into bad and good.

Everyone on the planet Earth goes through these 2 seasons, no one just have good time all through his life, and everyone passing through bad time can also have a change of season. How to live in these different seasons requires wisdom application. Sometimes it blows hot and sometimes it blows cold, it might not really be activities of demons, but basically the dealings of time and season.

A character of the bible will help you understand what I am sharing here, he is by name Joseph, he has different seasons in his life and eventually he ended well. At a time he was celebrated in his father’s house, at another time he was tortured by his brothers and sold out, a change of season came, and he was again celebrated in Portiphar’s house, but another season came and he landed in trouble by Portiphar’s wife, and eventually, he landed in the palace, a glorious season of his life.

By going through all kinds of timing he understood the dealings of time, he was in the best position to lead Egypt through her seasons.

In Genesis 41:29,30 Joseph analysed change of seasons, by the revelation shown to Pharaoh, that is to come upon Egypt, look at it here: Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land. And by divine wisdom Joseph was able to save Egypt in her bad season.

This is the message here: everyone has bad season and good season, some go through the their bad season as if it is good one, while some experience setbacks in their bad season, the difference between the 2 classes is the rightful application of wisdom.

Some live as if the amount of money they see now they won’t see such anymore, while others live as if they will always get money. Everyone that will go through his or her bad season unhurt must adopt the strategy of Joseph.

Joseph saved Egypt by wisdom, everyone who can rightfully apply wisdom in his daily living will save his life and family, buying unnecessary expensive things, flying abroad unnecessary, putting your children in schools where you pay too much are all unwise ways of spending.

It has been discovered that money stays in the hands of those who spend prudently. Expensive lifestyle does not in anyway add value to your life, rather a waste of life’s fortune.

Everyone in his or her bad season can also come out by right application of wisdom.
