Topic: THE NUMBERING OF DAYS…part 4.
Text: Joel 2:25,26.
25: And I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has eaten—the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling locust, My great army which I sent among you.
26: And you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people shall never be put to shame.
Our passage tells us that God is not pleased with the fact his people had wasted years, you must understand that just as a parent cares for his or her children God cares for us, even much more.
The people had had wasted years, and they probably are not talking about it anymore just trusting God for better days ahead just as you are also thinking, your expectation is on the new year not the past years, but you see God talking about the losses of the past, the labour that has been wasted, the years that his people couldn’t account for, God is talking about restoring and replacing those years, this is amazing.
You probably do not understand what I am sharing here, maybe you have lost somethings in yesteryears, and you are only talking about the present, God is saying, ‘ even the wasted years shall be replaced ‘, Job is a good example of what I sharing here; he lost so much and God compensated him; he lived 140 years after his calamities Job. 42:16.
He is the author of time, he has a way making up for the wasted years in your life, and that he has promised to do, and he will definitely do if only you believe him. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* As we wait upon the Lord today ask him to restore and replace the wasted years in life in Jesus name.
