Topic: THE NUMBERING OF DAYS ….part 2.
Text : Psalms 90:12:
12: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
In part 1 I did explain what led to the prayer point, please remember that Psalm 90 was attributed to Moses, and he was speaking by the leading of the Holy Spirit, asking God to teach us how to number our days so that we can apply our hearts unto wisdom. It therefore means that numbering of our days is necessary for application of wisdom to our lives.
I did emphasis in part 1 that our lives on Earth is brief and that we must apply our hearts unto wisdom by living right to live eternally with God. The emphasis here is applying our hearts unto wisdom with reference to numbering of our days in building our homes and raising our children.
Let me come out this way; Proverbs 24:3 A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. As you get old what plans are you making for your children? What investment are you making for them? What are you doing to make their lives easier and better than yours?
If you have passed through some challenges I know you wouldn’t want your children to go through the same, what move are you making to guide them against such?
If you’re the breadweaner of the family when your strength fails because of age how will the family feed and fare? I am talking about wisdom application in respect deminishing of strength because of age. Numbering of your days should help you prepare for your future, your family, your children. Your family should not suffer by reason of your age, your children’s education must not stop because of you are old and have little strength to work, if you must achieve this wisdom application in making provisions ahead is inevitable.
Ask yourself these questions: in the next 10 years what will I be doing? Next 20 years what will my life look like? What will be available for the family? The questions are not meant to create anxieties, but for application of our hearts unto wisdom. Expenses are always on the increase, we must make plans to meet up so that our families will make progress per time. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* As I grow older my life will get better.
* As I grow older my family will get better in Jesus name.
