Topic: DIVINITY MEETING HUMANITY
Text: Jeremiah 29:11-13
11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12: Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13: And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
God desires relationship with man, and enjoys fellowship with man, he did visit Adam in the garden of Eden until the Fall of Man. God is divine while man is human many people thought that God does not have a link with man or is difficult for man to be visited by God, but I must tell you that originally God created man so that he can fellowship with him, there was none like him among all creatures nobody could take the place of God Eden, nobody could be related with by God so he decided to make a man in his own image after his own likeness and primarily for the purpose of Fellowship of relationship.
Genesis God created meeting points with man until his fall, at the fall of man God said in Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. This implies that everyman who will get God will have to seek him unlike Adam that did enjoy Fellowship with God in the garden of Eden. After the Fall of Man everyman that will get God we’ll have to create the atmosphere for meeting with him. It is now man’s responsibility to create an atmosphere for this meeting, waiting upon the Lord and seeking his face in prayer and fasting attract his presence, such a man we have to show sincerity and commitment in getting the Spirit of God and at that point God visits him. I mean everyone who seeks him with the whole of his or her heart.
God speaking in our text Jeremiah 29:13 said , ‘ And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart ‘. God is committed to those who seeks him wholeheartedly, he will not deny them his presence but rather show up in the affairs of their lives. Great things happen when divinity meets humanity but the human being must create the atmosphere for meeting, that is the meeting point. I found several examples in the Bible; men of old have to wait upon the Lord to attract his presence even Jesus was not exempted as he waited 40 days and 40 nights, Elijah 40 days and 40 nights, Moses 40 days and 40 nights, and Jesus commanded his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they be endowed with power from on high Luke 24:49.
3 days with God is one of such gathering that attract God’s presence it is always a meeting point with the divinity, that is, humanity meeting divinity and you can be sure that great things are inevitable when such happens. The three days with God starts today and this is a special invite to you to encounter divinity and I’m persuaded in my spirit that your life will not remain the same God bless you.
