Topic: MANIFESTATION OF POWER…Part 4
Text: 1 Corinthians 2:4-5KJV
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
In part three, we said we live in a world that is full of the exhibitions of power at different levels and at different capabilities. Such demonstration is seen commonly in a show of superiority over others and more often in a show of wickedness oppressing other people. It is great to let you know that we also belong to a kingdom of power , am talking about a great kingdom that is operated by a greater power than all and that is the power of God.
Now why would God manifest his power?
- That the world may know that he is God: When Moses told Pharoah that God said he should let the Israelites go to worship him, Pharoah despised Moses’ words saying who is that God as stated in Exodus 5:2
And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.
And so God manifested his power through the rod of Moses greatly in Egypt till Pharoah succumbed to let the Israelites go. God manifested his power afflicting the Egyptians in ten different plagues to make himself known to Pharaoh and Egypt that he is God. I decree the Lord will proof himself as the Almighty God on your behalf in Jesus Name.
* That the enemies may know that he is with you: After Pharaoh had let go of the the Israelites, he suddenly dawn on him that his slaves have been set free, then he harden his heart again and pursued the Israelites in order to bring them back to slavery. The Israelites were moving on their feet, the Egyptians were pursuing on horses and chariots yet they could not catch up with the Israelites because God manufested his power in slowing down their speed and made the Egyptians to ride their chariots with difficulties. Riding the chariots were so the difficult that the Egyptians confessed that God is fighting against them for the Israelites sake as stated in Exodus 14: 24-25
And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
Beloved, the Lord will manifest his power in your life today and your enemies will know that God is with in Jesus Name
PRAYER:
* Father, manifest your power in my life and let the world knows that you are the Almighty God in Jesus Name.
