Prevailing Voice Daily 22nd October

Oct 22, 2019

22nd October
Text: Psalms 119:37KJV

37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way

In part five we discussed that a little distraction can cost so much and the longer the distraction the dangerous it’s likely going to become.

Today we want to discuss that distraction it’s a subtle tool or device in the hand of the devil against any man, especially God’s children.

Devil is never happy with anything good in the life of a man. If any man records genuine progress or good success, the devil is always at work to see that the success turns to failure and the progress turns to retrogression, especially when it concerns God’s children. The devil knows that he is not omnipresent like God, I mean he knows he cannot be in different places at a time, he knows he can only be at a place per time, he then deploys tools or devices to accomplish his evil mission in the lives of men and one of such tool is distraction.

We said that distraction is a subtle tool, subtle means gentle in nature, it means it comes usually unnoticed, it creeps into a man’s life unknown, it means it’s very deceptive such that it could have been eating deep destroying a man’s life and vision and such man will still think he is on the right track, he will still think he has not deviated until when the consequences blow up, then he would suddenly realize he had missed the track a long time ago. That’s why the scripture admonish that we should take heed unto ourselves, also in 1 Corinthians 10:12 it says

“Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall”.

The subtleness of distraction makes it very difficult to know when it comes and so it requires a great deal of consciousness, sensitivity and the help of the Holyspirit to know that you been gradually drifted away from your goal by distraction.

Beloved, the devil comes solely to steal, to kill and to destroy according to John 10:10a and one way he is gaining much ground in these last days in fulfilling these missions is by releasing the spirit of distraction. Therefore beloved, do not be ignorant of this device of the devil, it is aimed at making you fail, fall, never to finish well and never to reign with God, so I will say again MIND THAT DISTRACTION, don’t ignore it, face it, address it and stop it before it completely stops you. God bless you.

* Father, I stop every works of distraction in the journey of my life in Jesus Name
* Father, I cast away from me every spirit of distraction in Jesus Name.

Ezekiel 35, Matthew 21.
