Topic: YOUR GOOD WORKS
Text : James 3:13

13: Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom. Amplified

Christianity is based on love, how do I know? John 13:35

By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]. Amplified.
Good works are products of love.

The deeds of human beings are classified into two; good and evil. As followers of Christ our trademark is good works, we can’t say we love and not be good to people around us, our relationship with God is tested in our relationship with men.

Good watches our hearts and if our hearts are good, we will be good to people. Since our lifestyles reflect the state of our hearts then, good works are proofs that our hearts are good. The saying ‘ good thinking, good product ‘ describes what I am sharing here.

On the other hand if our God is good, and we are his children we are expected to take after him. God needs not to show himself to human beings since he has people who can represent him here on Earth.

Also since God is light that outshine darkness, we are products of light we ought to live in the consciousness of that, darkness connotes evil while light is expected to extinct darkness. We can change our world through our lifestyles, that’s what the writer of our passage meant when he said show by your good works if you are wise. Godly wisdom exhibits good works, not craftiness. This is what God expects from everyone of us; to be kind, good, honest, loving and humble, that’s what will prove to this evil world that we are God’s children. God bless you.
