Topic: THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD
Text : Isaiah 40:31
31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Every man, no matter how strong he appears, has limitations. The strength of man can’t solve his problems, can’t make him overcome his challenges. This bible passage confirms this. 1Samuel 2:9
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
Any man that will do valiantly in life will require the strength of God. It is God who permits a man to become whatever he is and achieved. Anyone who seeks to do the extraordinary will need the strength of the Lord.
The strength of God in man is like helping a little child to lift what is heavier than his capacity, this is like when someone helps you carry heavy load and you just have to fix your hands as a sign of support.
When God helps a man what could have taken him 10 years to achieve, he will achieve in a year. David needed this strength to kill Goliath, Samson needed this strength to tear lion like a piece of cloth, Gideon needed this strength to conquer his enemies.
It is like when a man waves his hands and his enemies start falling as if he has beaten them. In the new testament the Holy Spirit is our help, our strength and our power, through him the Apostles did great works, move mountains, do miracles. Great things happen when the Holy Spirit comes.
Getting this strength of the Lord is the best thing that can happen to any man. Effort, most times, does not determine result, but the mercies of God upon a man, this doesn’t mean a man shouldn’t make effort, but rather, it means every man should seek the help of God upon his labour.
Getting this strength is my assignment here; as we wait upon the Lord, seeking his face in prayer and through his word, as we fast to connect to his Spirit, he releases his strength upon us.
God is committed to answering everyone who seeks his face, as we wait upon him today ask for his strength. God bless you .
