Topic: THE WORLD OF SIN….Part 6

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.

In part five we discussed the lies of self as a category of the element of lies in the world of sin.
Today we want to discuss another feature or attribute of the world of sin, and that is the world of enmity with God.
God has sons according to John 1:12, God has friends because Abraham was called the friend of God as stated in James 2:23 saying

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

It is important to note that God also has enemies, I mean there are people that chose to be enemies of God instead of being friends or sons.
One major thing that makes a man who is a creature of God to become the enemy of his creator (the one who made him) is sin. Sin makes a man a friend of the world and an enemy of God. Romans 8:7 says

Because the carnal mind (sinful heart) is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Beloved it is a terrible thing to be an enemy of God, let me explain this in a simple way as one of my fathers in the Lord once said that if you offend your parents, you can run to your pastor for help, if you offend your pastor, you can run to your senior pastor for help, if you offend your senior pastor, you can run to your General Overseer to help you, if you offend your G.O, you can run to God to help you but if you offend God, who or where do you run to?. It simply means the person is in for it, on his/her own without any help.
The end result of anyone who is God’s enemy is eternal damnation in hell, because that is where God had prepared for the devil, his agents and his captives who refused the salvation of God. Dear reader, the good news is that there is hope for you if only you will turn and be on the Lord’s side, if only you will cease to be God’s enemy but rather become his friend. God himself has made provision for you to be transformed from the world of sin and death to the world of light and sonship (1 Peter 2:9). This provision is made available in Christ Jesus, for he said as

But many as received him (Jesus) to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to as many that believe on his name (John 1:12).

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour today, be free from sin and become one of the sons of God. God bless you.

* Father, help me to be your son and never again your enemy in Jesus Name.
