Topic: MIND THERAPY….part 9.
Text: 1 John 5:14.
14: And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.
Confidence and assurance keep you focus on hope and aspirations, in times of troubles when things are not going the way we expect, when what we see is contrary to our desires, the physical world is not the reflection of our heart desires and when we turn to God in prayer, that is talking to the invisible God something brings hope in our hearts.
The mind relaxes as we pray knowing that though he is invisible he will answer our request. Unpleasant circumstances send stress, worry, pains to the mind but when they all meet confidence and assurance in the mind they are locked outside the mind, that is the reason you see a believer smiling in the time of trouble.
The confidence is hope we have in God, it is the assurance that makes our mind in its time of sorrow to rejoice. Living with this confidence is MIND THERAPY, this is the understanding that no matter what comes my way, what I am going through, the challenges I see, I can always be sure within me that my God will not let me down.
There is assurance that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us, he will give us. He won’t watch the storms overcome me, I might have nothing now but as I seek him, serve him and make my request known he hears us.
The understanding of this makes us relax and confident in his saving arm. The assurance prevents us from heart attacks, troubled mind and troubled life.
God is committed to answering our prayers we must be conscious of that always . God bless you.
