Topic: MIND THERAPY …part 1
Text : Romans 12:2.

2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The possibility series is a blessing to everyone who followed through, I took time to explain how the things that appear impossible to us can be made possible with our mindset, you will need to read up the 15 parts series of teaching. This series is a follow-up of the possibility series. I did say that you need your mind to fix your life, and that human beings are not robotic in nature, but are given the will power which is in the mind to take decisions about their lives, destinies, and eternity.
The consent of a man his needed in the decisions about his life which is always taken in his mind. The mind is the greatest asset of a man given to him by God, it is given by God, but managed by the man himself, God never force man to do his will even Jesus was not forced to die, it is therefore absolutely important that if any man will get the best of his life his mind must be in the best state.
When the mind is troubled, joy will disappear from such life, peace will not be found. It is the duty of every man to keep his mind in the right state, my assignment in this series is how a man can take good care of his mind. The word ‘ Therapy ‘ is defined as the act of caring for someone or something, in this case it is the care of your mind.
Our text talks about the renewal of the mind, you will notice that Apostle Paul was giving instruction to the Roman Christians by the Spirit of the Lord, telling them to renew their minds, he didn’t say, ‘ ask God to renew your mind ‘, or ‘ pray to God to renew your mind ‘, or ‘ I pray that God will renew your mind ‘, but rather he said, ‘ be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind ‘, this means it is the sole responsibility of a man to renew his mind.
Why the renewal of mind? This is because life does not always give what we want, events and circumstances can discourage anyone, when unpleasant things happen it always affect the mind, when a man is hurt it affects his feelings which takes it root in the mind. So, it is absolutely important that a man renew his mind by getting his mind dusted from the hurts, griefs, discouragement, disappointment, weariness, shame, weakness in the mind.
Rejecting all the negative feelings that could have pulled you down is the renewal of your mind.
I must say this also; most times, a man finds it difficult to help himself, he is so discouraged in his mind that he finds it difficult to get on in life, at this point you need God, approaching the throne of grace through prayer will lift the pains within the mind. Look at Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
