PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
30th August.
Topic: POSSIBILITIES…part 14.
Text : Romans 8:14.
14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
I need verse 14 of Romans chapter 8 to explain part 14 of possibilities series. Christians are familiar with the word ‘ led ‘, I notice a subtle satanic act among Christians; it is the fact that important matters are being handled with laxity and levity. Things that are of core values to our faith are being handled with triviality, no wonder we have too many Christians with a form godliness but denying the power thereof.
The word ‘ led ‘ has been trivilised, you see believers use it jokingly and carelessly, which is a major criterion for being a child of God according to our passage.
Now, what does it mean to be led? It is basically being moved, influenced, inspired by the Holy Spirit. I trust God to help me deliver it the way I got it; the Holy Spirit relates to your spirit to move your mind; it is your spirit that relates to the Holy Spirit, how do I know? 1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
There is a spirit in you that have to wait on the Spirit of God to receive from God, that is what we mean when we say, ‘ wait upon the Lord ‘, you are basically position your spirit to receive from the Spirit of God through prayer, worship, bible study and sometimes fasting.
Look at this also: 1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. God has freely given us somethings, they are not visible to the eyes, but as we wait upon him (that waiting to receive from his Spirit through our spirits) they are made known to us.
How does the mind function here? When I receive a message in my spirit man, it becomes knowledge in my mind through my spirit man, I can decide to believe it or not. If I believe it, firstly, I will thank God for the message, secondly, I will declare it to myself or the person concern, thirdly, I will work towards what God has purpose to do.
When God speaks he expects you to take action in the direction of what he said, for instance, if he is leading you start a business and you are scared of making move about what he said it will not come to pass.
You must understand that God will not remote you like a robot, rather lead your spirit in the direction you should go, and when you receive the message your mind will process the spiritual information, while you take steps in that direction and you will definitely experience the miraculous.
