21st August
Topic: POSSIBILITIES …part 10.
Text : Mark 14: 24-31

28: And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29: And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30: But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31: And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

PREVALING VOICE DAILY is designed to bring light to all issues of life, for instance Mondays’ teachings are based on work or business, Tuesdays Bible teaching, Wednesdays teachings on miraculous acts etc. Our text is another miraculous account of Jesus, let me quickly analyse this as the Holy Spirit gives me inspiration.
Peter was walking on water as Jesus bade him to come which is naturally impossible, but was made possible by his faith and obedience to the words of Jesus. This is a proof that we can live by the words of Jesus, as we obey him the impossible will become possible. Peter kept walking until the wind was boisterous, boisterous means violently agitated and turbulent, now look at something here: Jesus spoke, Peter obeyed and there was a miracle, but there was a turbulent wind and Peter was afraid.
Let’s look at the factors that support this miraculous act,
1, Jesus 2, Jesus’ words 3, Peter’s faith. 4, The miracle itself because it is already happening. And the only factor against it is the boisterous wind.
Why did the wind suddenly became boisterous? Basically, to challenge Peter’s faith, you will notice that every other thing was in place except Peter’s faith, Jesus was still at the scene, the command for his movement was still intact because Jesus had not told him to stop, but his faith shifted ground at the emergence of a boisterous wind, and he lost the miracle.
Peter’s faith was a determinant of the miracle, just as your faith which has it root in your mind plays major role in getting the impossibility possible. Peter couldn’t go far when he lost his faith at the emergence of a boisterous wind, the challenges, disappointment, rejection, failures, sickness, unemployment, marital crisis are all boisterous wind, if you will not allow them shake your faith you will definitely see the impossible become possible.
Mind you Jesus was at the scene when the boisterous wind came, the fact that you are going through things doesn’t mean God has left you, if there is any sin, repent of it and solidify your faith in God and the miraculous will happen, that which appears impossible in your life will become possible. God bless you.

* As we wait upon the Lord today, trust God to make the impossible possible.
