Topic: DARE THAT DEVIL…Part 2
Text: James 4:7KJV

7 Submit yourself therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee.

In part one we discussed the word DARE as an action word which literally means to confront a thing or someone, also means to defy or challenge someone to something. Devil is a person or anything that is associated with evil, meaning Satan, his agents and every works of darkness are devils. Dare that devil therefore means to confront that evil personality or that work of evil in and around your life.
Today we want to discuss that you dare that devil only if you know that you are able. You don’t dare what is stronger and powerful than you are, the end result might be terrible. Devil and his forces are described as the following in the scriptures:
*A Roaring Lion: 1 Peter 5:8 says

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

Devil’s description as a roaring lion means he often appears strong, fearful, terrifying, wicked and ready to devour his prey.
* A Strong Man: Matthew 3:27 says

No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man.

Mobile Category

Devil is described as a strong man who is not willing to let loose his captives or possessions without been bound.
* A Stronghold: 2nd Corrinthians 10:4 says

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

Forces of the devil are described as holds that are strong, firm and rigid which will require greater force or power to pull down
* The Mighty and the Terrible: Isaiah 49:25 says

But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered:…..

Devil’s description as the mighty and the terrible means he has power and also dangerous.
Beloved, this is not an attempt to magnify the devil and his forces of darkness, but they are the truth of the scriptures about your enemy. Understand that in warfare, it is very important that you know your enemy and what your enemy is capable of doing, this knowledge will help to know how you can subdue your enemy. So don’t dare the devil if you are his friend, don’t dare him if you have his identity (sin) in your life, don’t dare him if you not strong in the Lord according to Ephesians 6:10 and don’t dare him if you are an enemy of God because the end result might be beyond what you imagine. Dare that devil only if you know that you are able. God bless you
PRAYER:
* Father, everything in me that makes me weak and unable to dare the devil, by your mercy take them away in Jesus Name.
* Lord I receive power to thread upon the enemies in Jesus Name.
