Topic: POSSIBILITIES…part 7.
Text: Romans 12:2
2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I have been sharing with scriptural references how possibility begins with the mind. The mind is one treasure given to you by God, how do I know? 2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
God gave man a sound mind, a mind that can reason solutions to troubles, a creative mind, a mind that can think great things, a mind that can extract the natural resources to produce finished products. He didn’t create a man to be timid, helpless, and senseless. Man is made with competence and expertise to bring light into his dark world.
You will notice that God didn’t create cars, phones, television sets, aeroplanes, computers, electricity etc, but those who put the sound mind God gave them into use did.
I have said earlier that the purpose of going to school is to improve your mind, it is important you know that you can improve your mind, the improvement of your mind is solely your responsibility not of God. Educating yourself with relevant information is improving your mind. When you see employment adverts, you will see a list of requirements which includes the degrees the applicants must have obtained, and relevant work experiences, this is basically because the employer wants people whose minds are trained.
You will also notice that they give preference to graduates of some schools than others, it is because statistics has shown that graduates of such schools perform well with less supervision which is an indication that their minds are well informed.
Our text talks about transfromation by renewing the mind, the word ‘ transform ‘ is defined as change in outward structure or looks. This means by renewing your mind which is within you, you can transform your outward look. It means what you see outside can be changed by what you have inside, read the words of Jesus in Mark 7:15
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
You’re a reflection of what is on your mind. You’re living in accordance to the meditations of your mind, you can change things only when your mind is changed. For God to do in the impossible in your life you must begin to read about the awesomeness of his power through his miraculous acts in the bible.
You can walk out of any unfavorable circumstance if your mind is being renew by the word of God daily. God bless you.
