Topic: THE HANDLE
Text: Genesis 39:1-6.
2: And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3: And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
5: And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
6: And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.
What failed in some people’s hands prospers in some other people’s hands, it is obviously the hands that handle the thing. A stone and a sling in David’s hands could terminate the existence of Goliath, any other man would have not been able to kill a bird with the same stone and sling.
Potiphar was running his business before Joseph came into his house, he probably was doing well but not like when Joseph came around, he must have experienced a boost, a lift, his income must have multiplied. Potiphar must have noticed that Joseph has graceful hands, nothing failed in his hands.
Any legitimate business can prosper depending on the hands that handle it, the hand that handles a thing determines the growth of it.
Joseph’s prosperity was not periodical as he went further to handle the economy of a great nation, Egypt. Egypt was feeding neighboring countries at that time, it therefore means that not only Egypt was he feeding, neighbouring countries inclusive.
When you try your hands on things and you find out that they don’t work out well it is most likely that the your hands need divine touch. Nations feed through the hands of Joseph during seven years of severe famine, if your family couldn’t feed conveniently through your hands you will need to ask for grace on your hands, you don’t need to condemn yourself, simply ask for grace for prosperity.
Joseph led a whole nation to survive seven years of serious famine because God blessed his hands, that same God can bless your hands if only you can trust him, in fact, this teaching is for you to have a turn around in your endeavors. I am persuaded in my spirit man that there is going to be a change in the name of Jesus.
Please note that a sinner can’t receive grace from God for prosperity, repent of your sins and serve God. God bless you.
