Topic: HELP FROM ABOVE
Text : Psalms 121:1-2KJV
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Men are always in need of help almost at every point and stage of their lives, this is because no man has it all and no man is an highland of himself. Even the scriptures support this in 1 Samuel 2:9b ….for by strength shall no man prevail. And so if no man can prevail by his strength then he must be in need of help for strength or support from somewhere. So some seek help from fellow men (not bad but limited and not the best), some seek help from the rulers of darkness of this world (this is the worst and its dangerous and deadly) while other seek help from God (this is the best and it’s guaranteed).
The help that comes from God is the help from above. God is ever ready and willing to help anyone who seek for his help. Isaiah 41:10 says it all that “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness“. However as much as God is ready and willing to help, you must understand clearly from our scriptural text today that you have got to look up above, look up to God, look up to the heavens for the help from above. Men of old that look up to the heavens were not ashamed cause they received help according to Psalms 34:5 which says “They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed“. You too will receive help in Jesus Name. God bless you
PRAYER:
* Father, I thank you because you are always there to help me
* Father, I will not lack help anymore
* Father, you will not leave me to myself anymore
* Father, I receive help from above over my life and home in Jesus Name
* Lord help me not to seek help in the wrong place anymore.
* Father, you help me and make me an helper to somebody in Jesus Name.
