PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
Text: Isaiah 60:1-2KJV
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
The word “arise” as used in our scriptural text above, shows a clear picture of the purpose of God for his children, God wants his children to be light in the midst of thick darkness that covers the earth and her inhabitants and so it implies anything short of this simply means such is not living to the fulfilment of God’s purpose.
It is very important to arise because:
* GOD COMMANDS IT: A command is an instruction that must be carried out by the person commanded. God commands us to arise. Arise from what? From slumber, from sleep, from laziness, from carelessness, from sluggishness, from depression, from frustration, from doubt, from weariness, from darkness e.t.c Then arise unto what? Unto glory of God and light of life.
* NOTHING HAPPENS DOWN THERE: Nothing happens when one is down, but great things happen when you are up (arisen). It’s quite simple to explain this, for example, when you are asleep (liken to being down), nothing happens, no communication, no activities just a motionless body on a bed but when you are up, awake or arise from sleep, there is communication, there are activities and motion. So beloved, you need to arise because when you stay down, there will be no strength, no light, just hopelessness, fear and darkness. Don’t stay down, cause nothing happens there, arise and stay up for great things happen up here.
* THERE IS GROSS DARKNESS: The earth is full of darkness, and even a thicker darkness covers the inhabitants of the earth and so your rising is to be distinguished and overcome the darkness upon the earth. Anyone born of God is meant to rise above the darkness on the earth, but if one refuses, such may be subjected to the wickedness of the dark places of the earth. So beloved arise for your light has come and the glory of God is risen upon you. God bless you
* Father, I receive grace to arise and shine from henceforth in Jesus Name
