Topic: LET THERE BE LIGHT
Text: Genesis 1:1-5KJV

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The state of the earth according to our scriptural text above can be described as a confused state, there was darkness, there was emptiness and was without form and void. Any life experiencing confusion is certainly in a state of darkness, there is voidness because something that should be in place is missing, there is no form because there is no clear definition of what to do next, or what will happen next and so there is a need for light. When the light comes, the confused eyes will see clearly the things ahead, likewise the confused mind will know clearly the next step to take and there will be sense of direction.
Another thing light does is that it exposes secrecy. Psalms 74:20 says …..For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. Meaning darkness habour cruety and wickedness, but those wickedness are hidden (exist in secrecy) because of absence of light, and so not many can see the secrets in darkness only those who have the light. When the light comes the secret things in darkness are revealed.
Two things you must do for the light to come;
* You must have the light: God is light and so he command light to be in existence, you cannot give what you don’t have, it’s important to carry light before light can command light to exist. God is source of light and so you need God
* You must command light to be: Where there is darkness in and around you, you need to command the light to come. God spoke, let there be light and there was light, so you must speak light into that situations and circumstances and there will be light. God bless you
