Topic: THE JOURNEY OF LIFE….Part 5
Text: Ecclesiastes 3:1KJV
1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
We have discussed different perspectives of life’s journey as;
* The journey of being born, live and die
* The journey of purpose
* The journey from the market to the home
Today we just want to appreciate God for the journey of our lives. It’s worth appreciating God for because many have been crushed in the journey of life. Many have given up in life,
many have fallen by the way side, but here we are, still living and standing in God.
The journey of life is full of challenges, and everyone has his/her own share of the challenges, there is none that has gone through life, going through life or will go through life without challenges just that as it is often said they are different strokes for different folks. These challenges have caused many to bow and were never able to rise again till death, many have been bartered, chartered and finished by the enemies and are no more but you are still alive.
Beloved, appreciate God that you are still alive, thank God that you are not dead, give praise to him for preserving your life. I tell you, left for the enemies, you should have been long gone and condemned into eternal damnation but God is still keeping you alive to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Your journey in life might not have been so sweet, or you could be going through tough times right now, but the fact that you are alive, there is hope of glorious tomorrow, hope of a new beginning from your maker, hope of better days ahead, so appreciate God for your life.
Job’s life on earth was great but at a point, every good thing in his life turned to sorrow and sadness, so serious it was that he lost everything he had in a day and his wife told him to curse God and die. But Job never gave up, he did not lose courage and hope, he did not despised God or condemned God, he believed that as long as he was alive there was hope just as he said in Job 14:7 “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease“. God eventually restored him such that his end was far greater than his beginning.
Beloved, thank God that your life is not worst than what it is now, that there is hope for you, that God is interested in your case and that your situation will not be difficult for God. Be thankful to God for the journey of your life as the scripture says that in everything give thanks. God bless you
