Topic: …THOSE THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.
Text: Hebrews 11:6
6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The first point I will like to make here is that God desires fellowship with us, God needed the fellowship of a personality like him and that is the reason he made man in his own image.
You must understand that God enjoys our worship. The relationship between God and man is greater than the one that exist between him and any other creature, in fact, what he has with other creatures including angels is not relationship, but with man he has a relationship, the relationship brings about fellowship. Just as you would want to spend time with your family members likewise God is ready to spend time with us, he wants us to give time for fellowship with him.
In mark 3:14 ; And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach. This tells us the reason Jesus called his dicisples, it is clearly stated here that the primary purpose is that they should be with him and that he might send them forth. Just as God was enjoying the company of Adam and Eve before they fell so also Jesus was enjoying the company of his disciples before he left.
When a man seeks God, when he devotes time to seek his face, it delights God. Fellowshiping, waiting in his presence is a pleasure to him. No wonder Moses won his heart, Moses did spend many days in his presence to the point people couldn’t stand the brightness of his face anymore, he needed a veil to communicate with them.
From our passage those who seek God diligently, definitely, get the reward for doing that. Waiting upon the Lord is waiting to receive the best from him. It is receiving grace for outstanding performance is life, waiting and fellowship with God is receiving grace for the supernatural, it is getting strength to do beyond your ability.
Our lives are made in his presence, his presence radiates upon our lives to bring the best out of our lives. Those who wait in his presence function beyond the natural.
