Topic: FAMILY PRAISE .
Text : Psalms 107: 21,22
21: Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22: And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
Most times we concentrate so much on the family’s needs that we forget to praise God for what he has done. As you wish your family change levels, as you desire great things for your children and entire family members, it is important we always bring to our consciousness the fact that God has been good.
God’s goodness can’t be bought with money, if you don’t have to rush your children or family members to hospital, if you don’t have to go through stress over anyone, if you make successful trips to and fro, if you have food to put on the table for your family it is obviously a function of the goodness of the Lord.
Comparing your family with other families won’t make you grateful enough because the devil has a way of making people who make comparisons inferior, if you engage yourself in thought of comparison you might end up saying God has done so much for others than for your family.
Thinking and desires for things you have not acquired, will make you feel inferior and sometimes feel bad about your life, this is the error, those who committed suicide make; having a feeling that they are less blessed or not blessed at all. Such feeling is a strong weapon in the hands of the devil.
You must acknowledge the goodness of the Lord over your family. Thinking of his goodness over your family, ability to settle bills and make payments is given by God.
How much could we have paid for the health of our loved ones? Our family welfare is a function of God’s goodness not our faithfulness, we can only pay back by giving him praise as a family, you can offer him praise on behalf of your family.
Our gratitude to him will make him do more for us. In place of worries and anxieties give him praise and by that we can secure his presence in our home, God bless you.
