Topic: CALLS THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT.
Text: Romans 4:17

17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

God made the world out of nothing, by his words he spoke all things into existence. The world we see today and the world to come are products of his words. He made the beautiful Eden from a formless and shapeless world. Genesis 1:2 confirms this: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Speaking the world to existence was his assignment, he concluded his work of creation by delegating authority to him Genesis 1:28. Man was not made to live like other creatures who had no power or authority whatsoever.
Can I shock you? Man has authority over spirits, ghosts, demons and even angels. Angels are meant to minister to man. Just as God spoke forth the existence of the beautiful Eden out voidless and formless Earth, likewise man was given authority by God to speak to his world. We lost the authority through Adam as a result of disobedience, but we got it back through Jesus.
The exercise of authority by man began when Adam named all the animals Genesis 2:20. Man has dominion over his world, the Psalmist confirmed this Psalms 8:6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. Man is expected to speak to his world just as God spoke to the formless and voidless World.
Proverbs 18:21 buttress this, look at it here: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. God deposited power in the tongue of man.
Everyman or woman is expected to speak what he/she wants into his or her life, if you think you have got nothing, you’ve got power to command what you want to existence. You’ve power to pronounce prosperity in your life if you’re experiencing poverty, if you are sick you’ve power in your tongue to command sound health in your body, your life can be made with the power in your tongue.
Words can make a beautiful world from the ugly experience of life you’re going through right now, words of faith can end hardship in your life, can bring prosperity in place of poverty, can make God’s light shine on your path. You can experience breakthrough in your business, you can get a job of your dream if you can speak by faith into your life, and pray by faith. God bless you.
