Topic: THE SECRET OF STRENGTH….Part 2
Text: Proverbs 24:10KJV
10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Happy new month to you all and welcome to your month of FRESH GLORY. In part one of this topic, we discussed that strength is important to everylife for survival and relevance. To fulfil purpose and to live a victorious life on earth demands for strength.
Our point of interest is that what are the secrets of strength, but before then I felt it so important to first consider why the need for strength. As living souls on earth we need strength because:
* LIFE IS A BATTLE FIELD: Life on its own is a field of battle, whether you believe it or not, whether you are conscious of it or not that is the truth. The scripture confirmed it in Job 14:1 that Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. So living on earth of a man is of few days but then those few days are full of troubles. Therefore to survive the days of troubles of man on earth, strength is needed. Many that were faced and conquered by the battles of life believed it is fate brought upon them by nature or destiny, a lot of them succumbed easily and said it is their destiny but I tell you the truth it is their ignorance and lack of strength that made them to give up becoming a permanent prey to the challenges of life.
* THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN SUFFERS VIOLENCE:
The journey from earth to a good life beyond the earth, I mean to reign with Christ in eternity requires strength to attain. Jesus declared this in Matthew 12:11 sayings And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. That violence is a function of strength, meaning without strength a man cannot get to make it to heaven. The book of Hebrews 11 gave an account of how the Patriarchs of old, passed through this rigorous life, and despite all they went through (challenges), they made it to the promised kingdom. Let’s read few verses of Hebrews 11 for reference; 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Beloved, they could do so much through their faith, because their faith produced strength. Therefore you need strength physically and spiritually to journey through this life. Ask God today to give you strength. God bless you
* Father, give me strength to be victorious in life in Jesus Name.
