Topic: ‘..EVEN DEVILS ARE SUBJECT UNTO US..’..part 4.
Text : Luke 10:17-19.
17: And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
18: And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19: Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Doing teaching in series helps readers to understand the scriptures indepthly. If you have have been following, you will agree with me that this series is insightful. proper understanding of the scriptures brings light into one’s life.
In the course of this series we understand that;
* Demons exist for real, Jesus’ statement and his disciples’ statements confirm that.
* They are subject unto us, that is every believer has power over them.
* Where there is evil, demons are not absent.
* Satanic agents invoke demons.
* When a believer prays he or she invites the Holy Spirit.
* When demons feel the presence of the Holy Spirit they flee.
I want to tidy up here by emphasizing on how to utilize the power; it is important you understand the power of God resides in you, when you gave your life to Christ, he gave you power, especially when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, power is deposited in you. This is like loading a riffle with bullets, fully loaded, that is how you are. You will agree with me that if no one triggers the riffle there will be no release of bullets. The bullets remain in the riffle unutilized, that is the exact state of a believer who does not pray.
Each time you pray you invite the Holy Spirit, how? It is important you understand that it is our spirits that pray not our bodies, whenever you’re praying your spirit-man is trying to reach out to the Spirit of God, and you can be sure that when the Holy Spirit comes you will receive power.
Some people thought once I am baptized with the Holy Spirit and I start speaking in tongues power will come, no that’s not true, you have to be in consistent fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Many christians have gone powerless because their prayer life has gone down drastically, they only rely on syllables of tongues they speak for some minutes before they go out each day. They have lost the power, when the Holy Spirit comes, power comes, it is a continuous process. When I am ministering and the Holy Spirit is around unusual things happen, so, all I need do is to ensure my spirit-man reach out to the Holy Spirit in the place of prayer.
Any time I got lost in the place of prayer, that is my spirit-man wrapped up with the Holy Spirit, I feel the arrival of the power. Please note that it is not just for pastors or ministers, but for every believer who understands this and practice it. There is power on your inside, as you pray and fellowship with the Holy Spirit there will be manifestations. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* As we wait upon the Lord today, ask they Holy Spirit to visit you
* Ask for the manifestation of his power in all ramifications.
