PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
22nd March
Topic: RAISING MEN….part 4.
Text. Judges 11:4-6

4: And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
5: And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:
6: And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.

In every man there is a treasure called talent, a gift from the maker. You must have heard some speakers and authors talked about this, let me come out this way; every man is made from dust and just as a farmer plants seed in the soil and give it all it requires for growth, so also God planted seed in everyone, since you are made from dust, sand, soil, every seed is planted inside the soil, likewise God planted seed in our lives.
You will agree with me that a seed has its choice environment for growth, you can’t plant rice where you plant yam, it won’t grow. Whichever environment you find yourself, the seed deposited in you by your maker can survive there. Some people have been through tough experiences, so many great people rose from hardship to greatness, the character in our passage (Jephthah) is one of them. The reason is because God is fair to everyone, there is something in them that grow in the place and time of hardship. The first point I am putting across is this; there is something in you that will grow your life even in your tough times and in a tough environment.
All that Jephthah did was to allow the seed in him to grow in the process of his time of hardship. I did promised to give reason why many people die without manifesting their gifts, this is the reason here, they felt there is nothing good about them, they’ve allowed the challenges they are going through to silence God’s gift in them.
It is when you discover this gift and begin to manifest it that you can grow and raise men along with you. Your gift will lift you and other people around you, that’s all that Jephthah did, no support from any rich man or highly connected personality, in fact, dignitaries of his time were searching for him, how do I know? Judges 11:5, And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob: 6: And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon.
All that Jephthah did was to discover the gifting of God in his life, and he rose to greatness and the vanity men, worthless men, ordinary men rose with him. Just discover your gifting and you will simply be on your way to greatness. I will start a series on DIVINE GIFTING, it will help you discover and manifest your gift. God bless you.
