Topic: THE TRUTH ….Part 2

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
In part 1, we said that knowing the truth makes us free according to John 8:32 and that truth is the word of God. Today we want to emphasize further that knowing the truth, accepting the truth and surrendering totally to the truth is a guarantee to freedom from sin, sorrow, death and bondage.
The truth we are discussing today is Jesus Christ. From our scriptural text above “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”, Jesus Christ is the truth and so when you know him personally, accept him into your life and surrender your life to his lordship you will be free because there is:
- SALVATION IN HIS NAME: In Acts 4:12, it is only through the name of Jesus that all men can be saved, that’s why he stated it in our text that he is the way to God the father. Titus 2:11 says: the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared unto all men… Beloved, it does not matter what your past looks like or how grievious your sins, Jesus is the only way to your freedom from sin.

DELIVERANCE BY HIS BLOOD: The blood of Jesus cleanses from all forms of unrighteousness, the blood can turn a dirty and condemned sinner to saint, because it makes one as white as snow. The power in the blood can set free from.bondage and break the bands and chains of darkness, he can destroy all the works of darkness (1 John 3:8)
* LIGHT AND LIFE ARE IN HIM: John 1:4-5 says in Him was life and the life was the light of men, and the light shineth in darkness and darkness comprehends it not. New life is in Jesus, and accepting him as Lord and saviour brings light into any man who does so. Jesus is the light of the world and whoever follows him will not walk in darkness (sorrow, problems, death, sin, sickness e.t.c) but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).
Beloved, Jesus is the way the truth and the life, he is the truth that can make you free in this life, knowing him, accepting him does not only give you hope on earth but also give you the hope of eternal life with God in his kingdom. So accept him today and you will never regret you did. God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, I accept the truth today, save me from sin and deliver me from every works of darkness in Jesus Name.
