Topic: MADE FOR HIS PLEASURES
Text: Rev 4:8-11 KJV
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy
From our scriptural text above, it is stated clearly that God made all things for his pleasure that includes man.
The word pleasure is defined as the state or feeling of being pleased. It means everything God made including man are meant to give him satisfaction, make him happy and to please him.
One thing that pleases God or pleasurable to him or let me say one thing that makes God happy and give him satisfaction is praise. God takes pleasure/satisfaction in the praises of his people, no wonder Psalms 22:3 says God inhabits the praise of Israel even in his holiness, it means as holy as our God is, he still find pleasure/satisfaction to be in the place where mortal men gather in praises to him.
God takes pleasure in praise such that a thousand tongues can’t praise him enough no wonders the host of heaven (the 24 elders, the 4 beast and the angels) worship God continually, no wonder the birds of earth join in singing to him, the tress of the field join in clapping unto him, the hills and the mountains burst into songs unto him. Even the babes and the suckling are not left out as Jesus said out of their mouth the Lord ordain perfect praise (Matt 21:16). Praise is pleasing to God that he could raise stones to praise him if men would not according to Luke 19:40.
Beloved, it is clear that praise is pleasurable to God, it gives God satisfaction and so if God made all things including man to give him pleasure, praising him is one important way to please God. Do not let the rock cry out to God in your place, do not let the stones take your place before God, do not let the birds, the trees and the mountains do to God what you are meant to do for him, not even should you allow the babies and the suckling (infants) replace you in the praises of God. Render your praises to him, give him pleasure, satisfaction and make him happy in praises. Today is another day to be in the house of Gos to worship him, don’t deny God your worship today in his temple, remember he made all things including you for his pleasure. God bless you and have a wonderful service.

* Father, help me to pleasure always through my praises in Jesus Name.
