Prevailing Voice Daily 27th January

27th January
Text: Psalms 22:3 KJV

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

In part 3, we discussed that when the people of God are gathered in his presence, God usually bless them by his words.

Today we still want to consider another avenue to receive God’s blessings in the house of the Lord and that is through Praise.

Apart from receiving blessings in the church through word ministrations, we also receive blessings as we praise God and worship him in songs. God loves to be praised, he does not deny any gathering of his children where quality praise is offered in his presence. The word “Holy” in our text suggests that God has integrity to keep his promise, and what is the promise?, That where two or three are gathered in his name he willl be there (Matt 18:20), that he will inhabit in the praise of his people (Psalms 22:3). So, it is clear that praise ushers God to dwell in the gathering of his people and that praise is like an invitation for God to come down from heaven and dwell with his people in the church service.

I want you to know one thing for sure that when God comes down, he does not come alone and he does not come empty. He comes with the host of heaven and he comes with all manners of blessings for his people. Now imagine such an awesome presence of God in your church service today, and then you are not there in the church to receive your own portion of the blessings, certainly you would miss the blessings if you refuse to go to church. So, as a point of emphasis, don’t miss church services because every service is actually a time for God to bless you.

Before I wrap it up today, let’s consider this scripture, Psalms 67:6 which says “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. “ Take note of the word ” All the people (church) praise thee (God). It means when we praise God as a church, he blesses us with increase such that all men who see us see the wonders of God in us then they fear God.

Beloved, I encourage you never to miss the blessings of God for you in today’s service. Don’t sit at home with an excuse, you would simply be denying yourself the blessings of his presence in the midst of his people. God bless you

* Father, as I praise you in church today, send down your blessings upon my life and upon your church in Jesus Name.
