Topic: THE GOD OF ELIJAH…Part 2
Text: 1Kings 18:17-39KJV
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said,
Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
The God of Elijah, apart from being the God of instant answers to prayers, he is also the God that answer by fire. When God answer by fire it means:
- He could chose to answer prayers by sending down fire physically to destroy the enemies. For example in 2nd Kings 1:8-12, Elijah called down fire to destroy two captains and their army of fifty’s. See verse 10, “And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty”. I decree that the fire of God will consume whatever troubles your life in Jesus name.

He could answer prayers by sending fire spiritually to destroy the enemies. According to Ephesians 6:12, your spiritual enemies are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places and so God can send down fire to scatter their gathering and destroy their plans against your life. I decree according to Psalms 97:3, that fire shall go before the Lord and destroy all your enemies round about you in Jesus Name.

He could chose to answer prayers by not sending fire, but give answers that can be likened to fire. Fire is active, has heat which means it is hot, it cannot be tampered with and its destructive. So when God answer your prayers like fire, it means the answer is very active, very hot upon your enemies, that the enemies cannot tamper with the answer to manipulate it and it can totally finish up your enemies. A good example is in 2 Chronicles 20, when God gave Judah an outstanding victory over three nations in battle without lifting a sword.
Beloved, God of Elijah is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), as you call upon him, he will answer by fire in Jesus Name. God bless you.

* Father, answer all my prayers by fire in Jesus Name
* Father, destroy everything, everyone and every force working against my life by fire in Jesus Name.
