Topic: THE BLESSINGS OF GOD…Part 2
Text: Genesis 19:1-25KJV
9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.
11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
20 And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the
Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
21 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the Lord to gaze, and many of them perish.
25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
In part 1 of this topic we discussed that the blessings of God make rich and add no sorrow, and that it’s important to patiently wait on God’s time because he makes all things beautiful in his time.
Here, we want go a step further. Let me point out clearly here that God is committed to blessing his people, I mean almost all that God want to do for his people at all time is to bless them continually, meaning God is never ever weary of blessing his people. But there are ways the blessing comes and there are things to do to access the blessings. Let’s take a look at one of the them today.
When God wants to bless his people, he gathers them together in one place. There are several examples of that in the scriptures. From our text above, if you read through the whole chapter, you will see how God instructed Moses to santify the Israelites and bring them together at mount Sinai to speak to them. Moses did as God instructed, and then God called Moses before the Israelites to come closer upon the mountain and spoke to Moses giving instructions that will be blessings to the children of Israel, and when God was through Moses came down and spoke to the people what God said.
Another example is Exodus 12, God told Moses and Aaron to gather Israel together while in Egypt and gave them his word of how they should kill a lamb, and use the blood as a sign post on their door so that when the angel of death goes through the land of Egypt he would pass over them when he sees the blood. Beloved isn’t that a blessing, so, every gathering of God’s people in his presence is a time of blessing.
Dear reader, if you are among the class of people that run away from church services, or you only go to church occasionally when you feel like, I tell you the truth you are missing out of God’s blessings. I encourage you today to go to church regularly and punctually, don’t miss the service so that you will not miss out of God’s blessing for you . The others points of receiving the blessings of God shall be discussed part 3. God bless you.
PRAYER:
* Father, give me passion to come to your presence in the gathering of your people always and as I come let me receive your blessings in Jesus Name.
