Topic: BLESSEDNESS OF A HOME..part 3.
Text: Psalms 112:1-3
1: Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2: His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3: Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
From my teenages I have found the scriptures interesting, it is sweeter than honey. I did use local kerosene lamp to read my Bible when there is no electricity light, God honoured my desire to know him through his word despite all odds. I feel his Spirit when he comes around to interpret the scriptures to me.
The scripture I am sharing here is one of those bible passages that became life unto me, there is a significant shift in my life when I discovered it. It is absolutely important you understand that every bible passage carries power, and if your life must be transformed through any bible passage, there must be an encounter with the power it carries. Don’t just read for bible knowledge sake, there is power available to effect changes in your life.
Just look at what I am sharing here; still talking about how to bring blessings upon your home, the emphasis has been the fear of the Lord. Our passage discusses the blessings that come upon the home of a man or a woman who fears the Lord. Just take a look at verse 2, it is lovely, this is it; His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed ‘. Wow! I don’t know how you feel when you read God’s promises like this one, I feel like I have discovered a treasure. This is a great commitment on the part of God; he is committed to making the seed of the righteous great in the Earth.
Look at verse 2 in New Living Translation; Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. That’s amazing! God is committed to making the children of the righteous successful everywhere they go, and his generation shall be blessed.
This is what it means; as you live in righteousness and encourage your household to do so, God is committed to making your seed, children, offspring, generation prosperous and great in the land. Every parent thinks about the future of his or her children, and here you see the bible saying God is committed to ordering their future aright if you can live right.
One good thing my parents did to me was to allow me to go for church activities, I was so devoted from my teenages and the blessings are obvious today.
Verse 3 of our passage will blow your mind, you just look at this: Wealth and riches shall be in his house… What a promise? and you know what? God can’t fail, I have been serving him for over 20 years now, he has never failed and he will never, you just live right, and by that you will be attracting his blessings upon your home. God bless you.
