Topic: BLESSEDNESS OF A HOME
Text: Psalms 128:1-6.
1: Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2: For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3: Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4: Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5: The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6: Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.
You must have at one time or the other wondered why some families are blessed and why some are not. Before I go further with this series of teaching, I will like you to know that things don’t just happen, let this be registered in your mind. Nothing in this world exist or manifest in error, there is always pre-action before an action.
Whatever you see around is a product of an action. Please endeavor to follow all through this series of teaching, it will bless you and bless your home. This teaching discusses why some home are blessed and why others appear not. And if there are unpleasant circumstances around your home, by the inspiration I am getting from the Holy Spirit in the course of this teaching your home will experience a turn around.
It is important you know that the Bible is the only medium God chose to communicate with man, it is not a book information, but that of inspiration. I hear people say, ‘ if you’re not informed, you will be deformed, that’s not true, a lot of informed people live a deformed life, the reason is because information is not potent enough to conquer the challenges of life, but inspiration does. Get my book, DISCOVERING TREASURES THROUGH YOUR SPIRIT-MAN, I did thorough teaching on inspiration. Of course information plays good role in your life, but inspiration does much more.
Our text talks about a man who fears the Lord, there is a list of blessings upon his life and home. From this passage we can deduce that a man can bring blessing upon his home. Some people think God just bring blessing upon anybody, not so sir, some people meet his requirements for blessings, and you can also be one of them.
You can change misfortunes around your life, and home by simply meeting this requirements, these requirements are summarized in Psalms 128:1 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is everyone who fears, reveres, and worships the Lord, who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments. Amplified.
I understood this as a single guy, I made up my mind not to sleep with any lady except my wife. I once shared the temptations that came my way in a campus fellowship, my listeners were amazed. I knew if God must bless my home, I must stay pure, the blessings are obvious today to the glory of God.
If your ways have not been right, there is room for amendment, if God is pleased with you, you can be sure of his blessings upon your home. If you’re having extramarital affairs, you’re not helping your home, rather you’re inviting problems into your family. I will continue from here next week Saturday. God bless you.
