Topic: WORD SERIES …part 12
Text: Jeremiah 29:11-13.
11:For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12: Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13: And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Every word began with thought, your thoughts become your words. Every word of God began with his thought, and here in verse 11 of our passage he says, ‘ for I know the thoughts that I think towards you..’ these good thoughts eventually became good words that he spoke about us.
Many times, God thinks and says good things about people but the opposite manifest in their lives, and God is not to blame. The reason is because every man has a role to play bringing God’s promises to pass in his life.
This is how it works; God speaks to our lives, while we are expected to receive the word with faith, how? Faith is expresses through prayer. You are expected to exercise your faith in God by standing on his promises in the place prayer. I see people give up and conclude probably what they have been praying about is not God’s will for their lives.
Faith is the supernatural force you need to bring God’s spoken word to reality in your life. We lose precious things when we lose faith, losing faith is giving up your good expectations and dreams.
It is important you understand that devil tries to contend your dreams and aspirations. Your faith is the weapon you need to incapacitate him, how do I know? Ephesians 6:16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
The enemy will not want you to live in your dreams, you gat to incapacitate him by your faith. Let me summary what I am sharing here in 3 sentences.
1, God has spoken good things about you.
2, The devil stands to stop you from enjoying what God says.
3, You have to take a delivery of the things God says by your faith expressed through prayer.
For instance, God has spoken something about you for this year ending in a couple of days, but they have not come to pass, you can still take a delivery of those things by your faith. God can change things within a second, the remaining 3 days can deliver your long awaited testimony.
Ensure you possess all that God has in stock for you this year. God bless you.
