PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
17th December
Topic: WORD SERIES …part 10.
Text: Luke 5:5.

5: And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

THE WORD SERIES is soul lifting, God is doing great things through this teaching. We thank him for daily inspirations, did justice to HOME FOUNDATION, and LIFE IS GOOD by the Spirit of the Lord, while I bring to light the mystery of words by the same Spirit.

You see beloved, I have found the scriptures as honey over the years, just look at what I am sharing here: from our text, Simon Peter and his colleagues have toiled all the night, time will fail me to explain the phrase ‘ tolied all the night ‘, but let me say this; a man will toil, struggles, labours and gets little or nothing until God releases word over his labour. If you have been following me you remember the same was the case of Joseph until his word came in part 7.

Peter said, ‘ we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing… this describes the life of many people, they have been struggling since January, this is December, but they caught little or nothing. By now you should know that not all hard labour is profitable.

It is important you know that Peter was a professional Fishermen, he did understand all expertise of fishing, he applied all skills, but yet caught nothing. How many of your good plans and strategies have failed over the years? How many of your good ideas resulted in failure? That was the case with Peter and his colleagues; toiling and catching nothing. What a wastage of time and resources.

When Jesus Instructed him in Luke 5:4, Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. At the time of this instruction Peter and his company were frustrated, they had given up trying, probably the way you’re giving up now.

But there is one unique attribute about Peter, he doesn’t play with the words of Jesus, he was so passionate about Jesus, no wonder Jesus made him the head of the Apostles, he wasn’t the first to come to Jesus among the Apostles, but he was their head. He could have said, ‘ master, you can only tell me about scriptures, about the Prophets of old, about the kingdom of God, but you can’t tell me anything about fishing. Another person would have spoken like this, but not Peter, hear what peter said, ‘… nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Amplified version put it this way: ‘..But on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets [again]. Please, take note of the word AGAIN, I see Peter saying, ‘ I have no reason to do this again, but on the ground that you’re the one speaking, I will lower the nets again. He had given up, lifted his nets up, and probably pack them somewhere.

I am here to tell you by the Spirit of the Lord, don’t pack your nets yet, if you have failed before, you won’t fail anymore because this is the WORD OF GOD. Try again, you will be successful this time, breakthrough awaits you this time. I am speaking by the Spirit of the Lord, God has confirmed his words through my mouth many times, he will confirm this also. He told me, ‘ as you speak, you will gather ‘, every good thing the enemy has scattered in your life, shall be gathered unto you again in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER.
* Oh Lord, I believe your word, give me Breakthrough this time in the name of Jesus.
