PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
14th December
Topic: WORD SERIES…part 8.
Text: Proverbs 1:22-26
23: If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you.
I trust God to be able to present this as I get it in my spirit-man. Oh! how we long for answers to our prayers, we pray with so much strength and faith, expecting instance answers, but believe me honestly, our passage tells why many times answers to prayer are delayed or never come.
The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to this several years ago, and this morning he dropped it in my spirit-man. The passage is basically talking about our reactions to God’s word. You must understand that if there is anything God doesn’t joke with, IT IS HIS WORD. how do I know? Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (I will explain this in details in part 9). The point I am making here is the fact that God doesn’t joke with his words.
None response to HIS WORDS will result to no response to your prayers. It is something you can reason out, someone don’t like listening to you, will you be happy to listen to him?
God is ready not just to bless us, but to also pour his Spirit on us if we obey his words. Proverbs 1:23. He responses to everyone who reacts affirmatively to his word. Do you know why some people appear speacial before God? Why heaven can’t joke with some people’s words, it is simply because they have over the years yielded to God’s word.
Look at this 1 Samuel 3:19 And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. Please notice this phrase ‘ his words ‘ not the word of God, how possible was it that none of his words fell to the ground (everything he said came to pass)? Here is the answer: God has pour his Spirit on him as he promised in Proverbs 1:23, and everything he said tallies with God’s will. He has learnt to obey God’s word.
Someone wants to ask; how can you prove that? Look at it here 1 Samuel 3:10 And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. He was always willing to obey God’s word, when you come to that point heaven will recognize your voice and honour your words.
Hear what God said about anyone that will not obey his words: verse 26: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; 27: When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28: Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me. This is severe beloved, you had better ask him for grace to always obey his words. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Help me Lord, to always obey your words.
