Topic: WORD SERIES… part 7.
Text: Psalms 105:17-22

17: He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
20: The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21: He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22: To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

We thank the Lord for daily inspirations, you will agree with me that this series has been a blessing. I have got inspiration for today, just follow me, you will be blessed.
The character in our passage, Joseph, was kept in chains unjustly, he didn’t deserve to be kept in prison for a second, but he was there for at least 2 years for no crime. Joseph must have prayed and expected that God would save him soon, but not as soon as he expected.
For 13 years of his life, he was a slave in Potiphar’s house, and in the king’s prison. His freedom was not anytime soon. Verse 18 says his feet were hurt with fetters for he was laid in iron, that means he was chained with iron as a criminal. All of these pains was before his word came.
Verse 19 of our passage is the turning point of his life, and that started with the word ‘ UNTIL ‘, that UNTIL was a period of 13 years of his life. This is what it means: Until God’s word came to him, he was a slave, a prisoner, suffering unjustly, being humiliated, couldn’t feed well, no freedom, no celebration, no pleasure in his life. Do you know the one that amazes me? Let me show you.
Genesis 40:14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
15: For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon. The buckler that got his freedom and promotion within 3 days that Joseph interpreted his dream forgotten Joseph completely. All ill befell Joseph before HIS WORD came. That word was what God said about him, his dreams of reigning as a King.
How does this apply to you? Until you have an encounter with God’s word your life can’t take it rightful shape. It is God’s word that brings transformation, restoration, elevation, illumination, expansion, transfiguration, glorification, innovations to mention a few.
When God speaks to your life every raging storm will seize, your light will break forth, your star will shine, you will take your position in destiny.
Time will fail me to talk about what happened to Joseph when his word came, maybe in the next part I will expatiate that, I pray for you sincerely that God’s word for your life will locate you in the name of Jesus. I want to advise that you position yourself where you can receive God’s word, I talked about that in part 6, create a conducive atmosphere to meditate upon God’s word. God bless you.

* Father, let your word for my life and destiny locate me in the name of Jesus. Another day to wait upon the Lord.
