Prevailing Voice Daily 14th November

14th November
Text: 1 Samuel 2:9

9: He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

In part 1, I established the fact that human strength can accomplish little or nothing, it takes the strength of God to do valiantly in life, doing exploit in life can only be by the Supernatural Strength, let me come out this way; God is the commander in chief of the universe, and he gives us strength for performance in life.
Supernatural Strength is divine enablement to do what the human strength cannot do, let me give you examples you can relate with: it was easier for David to kill Goliath than for a man to kill a bird, how was Samson able to kill one thousand soldiers with a jawbone of an ass? Obviously, that is the supernatural strength at work.
Listen to this; what takes a man some time to accomplish another man can accomplish within the shortest period of time, where a man is groaning, trying to achieve little breakthrough, it is a walk over for someone else. The difference is that one is enabled and the other is not.
This scripture will help us here: Roman 6:19 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. It is not about willingness or making efforts, but it is of the enablement of God through his mercy.
It means it is the person God gives strength as a product of his mercy, someone would say, ‘ since it is God who determines according to his mercy, why don’t we fold our hands and if he wills he shows us mercy ‘, that will be wrong, another scripture told us how to obtain his mercy.
Look at this: Hebrews 4: 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Mercy and grace (THE SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH) are available at the throne of grace, we can get them there in abundance.
As we seek God at his throne of grace, we will find mercy and his mercy will qualify us for his strength. Two things are key here, humility displayed as we seek him, devotion also as we commit our lives to his hands, and you can be sure he will respond by showing us mercy and enabling us to do what we can’t do by ourselves.
Frustration is inevitable without his strength, but as this strength comes, achieving great things will be like lifting a plastic chair. Follow me to THE THRONE OF GRACE this day that we might obtain mercy and strength. God bless you.
* As we fast (a sign of humility) and pray today, ask for this strength to achieve great things without stress.
Psalms 51,1 John 4.
