PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
12th November
Topic: HARVESTING….part 3.
Text: Leviticus 26:18-20

18: And if in spite of all this you still will not listen and be obedient to Me, then I will chastise and discipline you seven times more for your sins.
19: And I will break and humble your pride in your power, and I will make your heavens as iron [yielding no answer, no blessing, no rain] and your earth [as sterile] as brass.
20: And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit. Amplified.

Still considering reasons why people don’t enjoy harvest: the end result of work is reward, harvest, profit, gain, promotion, living well, it is sadden to see many live as if they don’t work, and from the light of the scriptures I have been discussing why this happen.
In part 1 the emphasis was the enemy, in part 2 I talked about the seed, it brings forth fruit according to it kind, bad seed produce bad fruit vice versa.
You must understand that the bible has answers to every question, that is the reason it called the book of life, from our text God spoke in clear terms to his people: verse 18 ‘… if you will not listen and be obedient to me..’ this is talking about disobedience to God’s word.
Verse 19 And I will break the pride of your power, and make your heaven as iron and your Earth as brass. This is serious, people in this category cannot enjoy harvest because the heaven will be shut, it will be as strong as iron, yielding no rain, no blessing, no answer. This is what God does to those who will not obey his words, his instructions, those who will not keep his commandments.
When there is no rain how can there be harvest? When a man’s labour does not receive divine shower there will be no harvest.
You will notice also the phrase ‘ NO ANSWER ‘, it means God will not send answers to the prayer of people who disobey his commandments, no wonder the preacher was emphatic about this in Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Living your life in accordance to God’s word attracts God’s blessings, God is committed to everyone who is committed to him by obeying his word.
Disobedience to God’s word makes a man to labour in vain, verse 20 says: And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit. May you not labour in vain. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* I receive grace for obedience to your word Lord.
