Topic: HARVESTING… part 2
Text: Psalms 126:4,5
4: Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert.
5: Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
I started discussing why people don’t get harvest in part 1, here I want to share another reason why people labour without enjoying harvest. You will agree with me that if the process of planting or sowing is not dully observed obviously, there might not be harvest. On Friday I discussed sowing, you can read that on our blog.
How can you put someone in pains in the course of sowing and expect good harvest. One major reason people don’t live to enjoy harvest is because they have being sowing in unrighteousness, how can you steal from someone to build a house and expect peace in such house. If you defraud someone to buy a car, you should know that car might soon be a coffin.
This scripture will help you understand what I am sharing here Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Unrighteous seed can’t bring good harvest.
How terrible is it for one to labour all through his youthful days and have nothing to show for it? Sometimes it is not the enemy but the fruit of bad seed sown.
Proverbs 11:21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. God is committed to blessing the effort of the righteous. Harvest is sure for the righteous, living right is the key to getting harvest.
You must understand process determines product. In your quest to make money it is absolutely important you make honest gain if you will enjoy harvest. God will not bless dishonest gain, he won’t reward unrighteousness.
My dad was a farmer, I did watch him put few grains in the soil, and when it is harvested we get bountiful harvest, the beautiful thing about harvest is that you get much more than you invest, that is the reason you must ensure you sow rightly.
Anyone who must enjoy his old age in life, or eat the fruit of his labour must be cautious of this. Righteousness must be your watchword, you mustn’t be crook in your ways and mode of transaction.
Hear God’s word to the righteous Isaiah 3:10 Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. If you must eat the fruit of your labour you must live right. God bless you.
