Topic: BLESSINGS IN TIME
Text : Jeremiah 8:20-22
20: The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21: For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.
22: Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
Blessing flows with time, every season is blessed by God. Some people think God is passive about their state in life, of course not, he is mindful of every bit of our lives, some people think he is too busy to have their time, that’s not true, he can attend to everyone’s needs at the same time, he is omnipresence.
But do you know that it is possible for someone to miss the blessing God has packaged for him? do you also know that sometimes God is not happy that you are not where you suppose to be, our passage sheds light on this. Prophet Jeremiah was speaking here, he was wondering why his people are not saved at the time of their salvation, they missed their deliverance, they lost their health even when there is physician among them, they couldn’t get their healings even though there is Balm in Gilead.
Harvest came but they couldn’t enjoy it, verse 19 of our passage gave us a clue to why that happened, look at it here: Behold [says the prophet, listen to the voice of] the cry of the daughter of my people [for help] because of those who dwell in a far country: Is not the Lord in Zion? Is not her King in her? [But the Lord answers] Why have they provoked Me to anger with their carved images and with foreign idols? God responded by condemning their idolatrous act, they had other gods in their lives.
People lose blessings, precious things in life because of sin, prayerlessness, insensitivity in the spirit, great open doors have been shut because of spiritual slumber. A lot of people think breakthrough, lifting, success, prosperity will come in their own expected way, not true my dear, God chooses the methods of delivery of your blessings, you gat to be alert in the spirit to take a delivery of them.
Time passes with blessings, and if there is anything you must understand is your time, oh how painful it is for anyone to miss his or her time. Why do people have long wasted years? Why do people remain at a point for too long? Why do people still live in their yesteryears? It is because as time passes they couldn’t grab the opportunities and blessings it carries. Let me say here categorically that if any year passes without any major achievement in your life, then you gat to pray.
2018 is left with just 61 days, have you got your blessings for this year? Can you account for a significant progress in your life this year? I challenge you to take what God has packaged for you through prayer and fasting today. God bless you.

* I take a delivery of all that God has packaged for me this year.
* Every evil hand diverting my blessings wither by fire in the name of Jesus.
