Topic: NOT JUST A WORD
Text: Romans 6:23KJV
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I have heard words such as “Age is just a number” and “Sin is just a word”, the connotation of these words is meant to create a picture that age is insignificant in some matters of life and that sin is not different from any other words learnt and heard in life.
SIN, a three lettered word is enticing
and seems momentarily pleasurable but it is:
- Satan’s Identity: 1 John 3:8 states it clearly that he that commits sin is of the devil. It means sin makes anyone who commits it a property of the devil, when the person sins, he/she identifies with the devil, and of course the devil is even ready to claim a person who does not belong to him how much more would he readily claim the ones that are his. I pray that every satanic identity upon your life will be erased in Jesus Name.

A Gateway to Hell: Anyone without Christ is guilty of sin, and the wages or judgement for sin is death. Our text above says the wages of sin is death, the scripture is not talking about the physical death to the body of man but the spiritual death to the soul of man in hell (a place of weeping,gnashing of teeth and burns with fire from sulphur and brine stones). Sin is an highway or an expressway to hell, so its more than a mere word of abstract but a reality of life and death. Don’t go through that path.

A world: Sin is not just a word but a world on its own. There are many who live in the world of sin, a world controlled by the devil and his forces of darkness. An encounter with a man living in the world of sin will seem to you as if they are living in another world on earth different from yours, Yes indeed they live in another world, a world govern by the devil and you can tell what there lives will be like.
Dearly beloved, do not be deceived, sin is a sinker and a destroyer, however, there is a way out of sin, and that is salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Accept Him today and be saved. God bless you
