Topic: SOLVING PROBLEMS….part 9
Text : 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.
3: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
God’s word becomes life to everyone who gives attention to it, we give all glory to God for life he is giving people through this medium, let’s tidy up this series of teaching here, still on solving marital problems. It is important to know the enemy, devil, does not want joy in any home, and so he lunches attacks on families.
Many families are faced with crisis, and though there are explanations for those crisis, the root of them all is the devil, he knows that if there is peace at home, the children are bound to have glorious destinies, so he lunches attacks.
Devil knows separation will bring a set back to any family, he knows the unity in your family will frustrate his plans, he all understands that when families are united, the society will be good since families make of society, attack on families is top agenda on the devil’s list.
When your spouse is misbehaving don’t see it as ordinary misconduct, when the man that use to carry you like an egg begins to call you some bad names, it is an attack on your marriage, when your love that use to bring you joy now makes you cry, it is the work of the devil, when the man that will always want to take you out, does not want to step out with you anymore, or says, ‘ go, I will meet you there ‘, it is likely that the devil is at work. When he or she will always come home late with different kind of explanations, the devil is not outside the scene. When he or she can’t receive calls in your presence, the enemy is lunching attack already. When you can’t explain why your children are misbehaving, then the devil is up to something in your family.
Why am I enumerating all these acts? It is because marriages don’t break in a day, it always begin with some signs, ignoring these signs is the beginning of separation or divorce. Mistake people make is this; when they notice these signs they start fighting their spouses instead of fighting the devil through prayer, that is the reason you hear people say, ‘ when I noticed these signs I was shouting, confronting him or her, telling his or her people, but it is not enough to do all that, without prayer you can’t win your spouse back because the devil is behind the scene.
You must always remember that the unity of your family is a threat to the devil, because a happy home has great potentials to produce good individuals, and he won’t fold his hands and watch, he will always want to steal the joy, so you gat to fight back with prayer, don’t take a break in praying for your home, your spouse, and your children. God bless your home.
PRAYER.
* As we wait upon the Lord today, frustrate the plans of the enemy for your family, declare perpetual joy and harmony in your home.
