Text: Proverbs 22:6 KJV
6- Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
The society in this context is the environment around the home, one major relationship between the home and the society is influence.
Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something. The society can influence the home and the home can influence the society.
The home should influence the society positively the reoccurring effect of which will make the society a better place and the society in turn can influence the home positively. But we cannot give what we do not have, the home that can influence must have what it takes to do so. The followings are ways to influence our society:
• WORD OF GOD: Live the word and spread the word. Live your life in obedience to God’s, lead your home and train your home as God desire and the spread the same to your friends, neighbours and society. Be an example of a believer (1 Timothy 4:12)
• PRAYER: As we uphold our home with prayer, the same is needed for our society. In Ezekiel 22:30 God said i sought for a man that will stand in gap for the land. As a home let’s always pray for our society because the society or the people we refuse to pray for may in turn become our troubles.
• SPREAD RIGHTEOUSNESS: As a family of God, righteousness is a must and we must spread the same to our society. Proverb 14:34 says righteousness exalt a nation.. , live in righteousness, train your home to live in righteousness, spread righteousness in your neighbourhood, your office and every where you go, be known for doing the right thing and others will soon emulate the same from you.
Dearly beloved, our society is our immediate environment and we must influence it positively because if we fail to, the society in turn may influence our home negatively. God bless you

• Father, help my family to influence our world positively for your glory in Jesus Name.
