Prevailing Voice Daily 5th October

PREVAILING VOICE DAILY
5th October
Topic: SOLVING PROBLEMS …part 1.
Text : Psalms 46: 1-11.
1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2: Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3: Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Life on this planet Earth is not without trouble, some people prefer to call it challenges, but whatever name you call it, it is unpleasant situation. This series of teaching is going to be life transforming as other series.
In this part 1, I just want to make few points;
1, Problems or challenges are common to all, not perculiar to you, you see sometimes it appears like you’re the worst person on Earth, that’s not true. You must understand that everyday is characterised with opportunities and challenges. Some people think where they live contribute to their problems, this is sometimes true but not always correct.
2, The second point is this; any problem that comes your way is not bigger than you can handle, sometimes it is always looking like this is bigger than me, that’s not correct, you might be shocked sometimes that you need a simple solution.
3, the third point is this; God is around your life to help you out, in times of difficulties it looks like God is far from you, that’s also not correct. The sons of Korah (2 Chronicles 20:19) wrote Psalms 46 and in verse 1 they said, ‘ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble ‘. Please note the phrase, ‘ a very present help in trouble ‘, the sons of Korah were singing by the spirit of God, and they made the statement in song.
The sons of Korah were among the singers Jehoshaphat appointed to sing in 2 Chronicles 20, and in verse 22 see what God did for them: And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. God made their enemies to rise against themselves, so the sons of Korah knew what they were saying when they sang; God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
You must understand that when you are going through things, God is not far from you, let me buttress this point please: look Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Amplified.
One of the reasons Jesus came in human form is to have the feelings of human beings, he knows what it means to have pains in the body, at a time he was hungry, as you pray to him he understands. He is right beside you, just cry out to him. God bless you.
PRAYER.
* Lord provide solutions to the problems in and around my life.
