Text: Psalms 129:104,105
104: Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
105: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
The book of Psalms is loaded with revelations. Revelation is defined as the divine or supernatural disclosure to human of something relating to human existence. The bible is the book of life and it discusses all issues of life, by studying the bible always you do no one favour but yourself, as you form the habit of studying it daily you will discover some hidden facts about your existence.
I am sharing here some hidden secrets I have discovered in the course of my studies over the years;
Verse 104 of Psalms 119 says, ‘ I get understanding through thy precepts (words); therefore I hate every false way ‘, false way of living one’s life, false way of making money, dubious way of earning a living, false way of building wealth. Thy word makes me to hate quick and dubious way of making money.
Why was the Psalmist sounding this way? The reason is because the word of God has taught him the danger of making it in life through false ways (dubious ways); look at this scripture: Ezekiel 22:13 Behold therefore, I have struck My hands together at your dishonest gain which you have made and at the blood which has been in the midst of you.
Verse 105 of Psalms 119 explains to us how God gives a man direction, now that I must not walk in a dubious way, how do I walk? Thy word is lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. By ‘ lamp unto my feet ‘ he meant where I stand is lightened up, and by ‘ light unto my path ‘ he meant I can’t walk in darkness. Darkness connotes confusion, and sometimes indifference, not being able to make right choices. Even if there is money a man in darkness might not know how to invest.
Now the word of God guides me in my decisions, as I meditate upon his words my meditations becomes right, and because my meditations are right obviously my decisions will be right, so my ability to make right choices in life is a function of my meditation upon his words.
Since my choices are right, I can’t invest wrongly, I can’t take up a career and end up a failure.
Our lives are lighten up as we study and commit ourselves to obeying God’s words, our minds are trained by the Holy Spirit to take right decisions, it is right decisions that bring money into your account, boom your business, make you excel in your career.
You will find light has you obey the word of God. God bless you.
